The New Zealand Music Month Committee is in full swing for May 2004, with preparations under way to make it the most successful yet.
David Innes of the RBA has been appointed Chairperson of the Committee for the second time.
"2003 was by all accounts the best NZ music month yet," says David.
In the last week of May alone, local content on New Zealand radio reached a record 22.76% - eclipsing previous records.
"We are determined to make 2004 NZ Music Month even bigger and better," says David. " Given the talents and commitment of the committee this should be easily achievable."
The New Zealand Music Month committee meets fortnightly. It's members represent a wide range of organizations associated with the New Zealand music industry.
