Rod Stewart To Play A Second Auckland Show!

08 October 2014 - 0 Comments

Rod Stewart's highly anticipated "The Hits" tour is coming to New Zealand in 2015 and tickets for the Auckland show at Vector Arena have all sold out! To meet demand, Frontier Touring have added a second Auckland concert and tickets go on sale Friday 17th October. Following suit, tickets to Rod's first ever concert in Dunedin at the Forsyth Barr Stadium are fast running out.

Frontier Touring have already unveiled the legendary rocker’s massive itinerary which includes concerts in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Dunedin and now two shows in Auckland, plus special outdoor concerts at Hope Estate in the Hunter Valley and the iconic Hanging Rock in Macedon.

“I’m thrilled to be returning to Australia and New Zealand next year,” Rod Stewart remarked. “The audiences are some of the best in the world and I’m looking forward to being at my most Scottish for my first ever concert in Dunedin.”

Stewart’s just completed summer tour was named by Rolling Stone (US) and USA Today as one of the Hottest Tours of Summer – wowing fans with a hits-packed, high-energy concert which includes four decades of his iconic hits including Maggie May, You Wear it Well, Hot Legs, Sailing, You’re in My Heart, Do You Think I’m Sexy, Some Guys Have All the Luck, Young Turks, Forever Young, and many more.

With his singular voice, narrative songwriting and passionate live performances, Rod Stewart has built one of the most successful and enduring music careers of all time. In a career spanning more than five decades, he has amassed sales of more than 200 million albums worldwide and has countless chart-topping hits and industry accolades - including two inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and in 2007, he was bestowed Commander of the British Empire (CBE) by the Queen of England.

Joining Rod on the tour is local legend James Reyne.  Performing hits from both Australian Crawl and his extensive solo career, James is no stranger to the top of the charts, selling in excess of 2 million albums since 1979 and boasting hits such as Reckless, Boys Light Up and Motor’s Too Fast.  James Reyne will set the vibe for a massive night of back to back hits from both artists.
