The New Zealand Music Foundation is the official charity of the 2014 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards.
The New Zealand Music Foundation supports music projects at charities such as the Raukatauri Music Therapy Centre, StarJam, Zeal and Canteen. It also gives emergency assistance to those in the music community who find themselves experiencing illness and hardship.
Recorded Music NZ chief executive Damian Vaughan says he is thrilled that the New Zealand Music Foundation will be a part of the 2014 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards.
“The awards are a celebration of Kiwi music and it is only fitting that the biggest night in Kiwi music teams up with the charity that supports projects that use music to change the lives of those in need.
“The foundation’s work is tireless in reaching out to those less fortunate than many and we expect our event to go a long way in raising its profile amongst music lovers in New Zealand.”
New Zealand Music Foundation general manager Peter Dickens says: “We believe music makes a big difference in peoples’ lives and the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards show how talented Kiwi musicians are. We are proud to be a part of it.”
