They jumped out to an early lead on http://www.theaudience.co.nz’s/ November Wildcard Funding Chart, and Tunes of I held on tight to claim the $10,000 Making Tracks grant from NZ On Air for their song Give In. They were challenged right up until the last moment by Auckland newcomers VIVID with their upbeat tune Pull Me In, but Tunes of I did enough to claim top spot.
The band are clearly delighted with the win, and had a few words dedicated to the people that have thrown their weight behind their Wildcard Chart campaign. "We're just blown away by the amazing support that we've received from our friends, family and fans. We're extremely excited for what this will bring and it's also a great start to our summer tour. We want to send a huge thank you to everyone that's stuck by us, not just with this competition but also through TOI's journey. We couldn't have done any of this without your support! Thank you!"
Congratulations Tunes of I, winners of theaudience.co.nz’s Wildcard Funding Chart for November 2014! The end of November also marks something special for theaudience.co.nz, as we enter a special double month of the Wildcard Chart. We have officially secured another Wildcard Making Tracks grant to give away for December and January, meaning that over the next two months, the only place you can get a Making Tracks grant is right here at theaudience.co.nz. As it’s a special grant and smack dab in the holiday period, this chart will run for 2 months, with the winner being the song that gathers the most votes, plays and shares over all of December and January.
Any artist who wants to get their hands on a Making Tracks grant just need to upload an unreleased song to theaudience.co.nz, and share it with the world! For all you punters and fans – make sure you’re heading along to the Wildcard Chart and having your say on who should claim the special $10k grant from NZ On Air!
