Auckland drum and bass duo,State of Mind have collaborated with Black Sun
Empire for their latest EP release, Until
The World Ends. The EP consists of six tracks - all heavy hitting
and undoubtedly due to re shape dancefloors around the globe in 2015.
The duo is made up of New Zealand based Stuart Maxwell and Patrick Hawkins. Since 2005, State of Mind have released four studio albums and one live album. Their last album released ‘Eat the Rich’ was hugely successful, Winning 2014 Drum and Bass album of the year at the Drum and Bass Arena Awards in the UK - there’s no doubt this EP release will be just as exceptional.
Black Sun Empire are a drum and bass trio hailing from the Netherlands. This isn’t their first collaboration with State of Mind. They have teamed up in the past creating multiple tracks together, including Unconscious. State of Mind are now signed exclusively to Black Sun Empire’s label, Blackout Music.
State of Mind are known for their collaborations with NZ hip hop rapper, PNC. Their first track together was City on Fire taken from the album Faster Than Light in 2009, followed by appearances on their album Nil By Ear in 2011 and now again on the highly anticipated track Until The World Ends.
Excitingly, State of Mind are currently touring through Australia with English producer, Andy C. Next on their tour is Europe followed by USA then back to the homeland for the Blackout Tour through New Zealand and Australia.
