Music News - Drake supports announced! P Reign and Midnight Gallery join the bill

Drake’s first visit to New Zealand is fast approaching, and now Frontier Touring and Illusive are proud to reveal the final additions to the bill, completing what is one of the most exciting hip-hop line-ups this country has seen. Alongside the already announced hip-hop heavyweight and special guest 2Chainz, fellow Canadian hip-hop artist P Reign will be making an appearance, and New Zealand's own Midnight Gallery who will be accompanying Drake on tour as the local support.
P Reign, also lovingly referred to as The King of Da North, will be whetting the appetites of audiences with a short set prior to 2Chainz taking to the stage. One of Drake’s long time collaborators and one of the rising stars in hip-hop, P Reign is signed to RCA and has smashed through the airwaves with tracks such as Dnf featuring Drake and Future and We Them featuring A$AP Rocky.
Rounding up the lineup is Auckland/Thames based trio, Midnight Gallery. Their music salutes the 90s Hip Hop and R&B they grew up listening to in their respective neighbourhoods of Newton Central, Thames, and Freemans Bay. Midnight Gallery's approach to writing music, has a strong emphasis on originality with an absence of major sampling. Offering accomplished symmetry between rap and singing, lyrics paint the pictures of real life, sketching experiences on a variety of musical canvases.
New Zealand is welcoming Drizzy with open arms! Having recently toured the United States, Drake brings with him a production and staging that is nothing short of spectacular. Ticketholders will enjoy a huge production that will include pyrotechnics, fire, lasers, extensive lighting and incredible sound systems with some lucky guests even seeing Drake fly above their heads!
