Award winning New Zealand pop-country sensation and 2015 CMC Music Awards nominee Jody Direen is delighted to announce the release of her new single Together on April 1, 2015.
Together is the third single from Jody’s highly anticipated album Jody Direen Breaks Out, reflecting her new pop-rock-country direction. As a thank you to her fans, Together will be available as a free download between April 1-9 from her website jodydireen.com, before being released on iTunes, Google Play and all leading digital download websites on April 10.
Jody worked with award-winning producer Jay Tooke in Nashville, Tennessee on Together and she says it is a song that is both heartfelt and empowering.
“Together is a very personal song to me,” Jody explains. "It reflects emotions I experienced whilst being involved in a long-term relationship. It tells the story of my journey from being confused, lonely and insecure, to being able to free myself.”
The Wanaka-based singer-songwriter has had a busy year to date, performing to sell-out crowds on her recent South Island summer tour and being the supporting act for Kenny Rogers on his NZ tour in February. Jody will make her first red carpet appearance this Thursday as a nominee for New Oz Artist of the Year at the prestigious CMC Music Awards in Brisbane.
Jody’s previous three singles, Mine, Tattoo andLOUD have all charted in the NZ Top 20 and in the Top 10 iTunes pop & country charts. Jody Direen Breaks Out will be released on April 24, followed by a nationwide tour.
