New Zealand punks The Jury And The Saints
unleash their blistering self-titled second album in NZ on 20th March 2015 – a
collection of tracks fully loaded with raw riffs and contagiously anthemic
choruses.
“We don’t care about
making a technical album, we care about making music that translates both in
the studio and live, music that hopefully moves people, music that makes you
have to sing, music
that connects because it’s coming from energy and honesty”
The forthcoming release follows 2010’s album debut
Daydreams, and
2011’s EP Revival, which landed at #4 in the New Zealand Top 40.
Revival, the
single, set the bar high after giving the band their first #1 in the New
Zealand Singles Chart.
October 2012 saw the band signed to German label SPV Records and a
2013 tour through Germany, Switzerland and Austria. While in Germany the band
worked with renowned local rock/metal producer Alex Lysjakow to record the new
full-length album.
Unafraid to combine a sense of humour with soaring, gang-vocal ridden anthems,
or to sport the odd sailor outfit, The
Jury & The Saints’ live performances to date have landed
them critical acclaim.
Lung bursting, sing-along video single
Focus, taken from the forthcoming album is out now and stands out for it’s
pure exuberance and feel good rock energy. The latest single
Monday Morning sees a softer beginning, building up to an explosive melodic chorus,
this track already getting airplay in the UK on BBC1 Kerrang radio.
The Jury And The Saints celebrate the album release with a show at Zeal in Hamilton on the 20th March,
plus a line up of shows planned around the country in March/April.
