In her second major announcement of the past few days, Brooke Fraser unveils official news of her return to tour New Zealand in June.
Brooke will appear at the Isaac Theatre Royal on 24 June, Wellington’s Opera House on 26 June and the Holy Trinity in Auckland on 27 June. Tickets go on sale April 7th.
Last Thursday night, Brooke told fans from the stage at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre that she and husband Scott Ligertwood are expecting their first child.
The New Zealand singer is now based in Los Angeles but has been touring North America, Australia and Asia in recent months in support of her fourth LP Brutal Romantic.
“NZ is so important to me and I wanted to make it home for shows before my doctor puts a kibosh on my travel,” says Brooke.
“These shows are going to be very special for us all,” she promises.
“It’s going to be a little more intimate than the Brutal Romantic tour I have been on internationally so I promise to load it with more treats for you fans who have been with me longer than anyone.”
The June tour replaces New Zealand shows postponed earlier in the year.
“I wish I could hit all the regions but I’ve been advised that a busier schedule will not be possible,” says Brooke. “At this point I’m already becoming well versed in what a beautifully exhausting experience pregnancy can be!”
Brooke is currently in Europe playing TV and radio appearances in support of the release of Kings & Queens.
The lead single from Brutal Romantic is impacting strongly there, already reaching the Italian Top 10 and climbing the charts in France and Germany.
