Warner Music NZ are delighted to announce the signing of a distribution deal with multi-instrumentalist, Eden Mulholland.
Eden’s less conventional path in music has helped shape his experimental approach to composition. Enabling his songs to disregard genre boundaries and ride that fine line between pop and poignancy.
Warner Music New Zealand General Manager, Phil Howling, says “Warner Music NZ are very excited to announce our partnership with the multi-talented Eden Mulholland. Eden is an incredible artist that we have been aware of for a very long time. We look forward to a long and successful relationship.”
From his new home in Queensland, Australia; Eden’s music sees him in very high demand. This took him to New York and LA where he spent a large portion of 2014 recording his second album Hunted Haunted, which is co-produced by Victor Van Vugt (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds/ PJ Harvey) and Neil Baldock (Neil Finn).
Fast forward to 2015 as Eden gears up to release his brand new single Utopia the first track from his forthcoming album, set for release later this year.
Released April 17, Utopia is based around a driving, raw acoustic guitar riff. The song explores themes of nostalgia, lost love, new love and camaraderie. Produced by Van Vugt andBaldock and recorded in New York and LA with drums performed by Nick Gaffaney from Cairo Knife Fight.
These days, you’ll find Eden travelling extensively to and from New Zealand and Australia working on new commissions and projects. Eden released his debut solo album Feed The Beast in 2013 to critical acclaim in Australasia with some wonderful reviews and invitations to play with his band at high profile events CMJ, BIGSOUND, Bleach and Teneriffe Festivals.
