The NZ Music Managers' Forum together with the NZ Music Commission are proud to announce the return of The Official 2015 NZ Music Month Summit on Saturday 23 May, 2015.
This year the NZ Music Month Summit is an intimate series of masterclasses
where delegates can get up close and personal with music industry agencies and
find out first-hand how to make money from their music, what funding is
available, and hear tips and pointers on how to present the best application
for success.
This FREE event will include experienced music industry specialists from NZ On
Air, NZ Music Commission, Recorded Music NZ, Creative New Zealand and APRA.

Recorded Music NZ
Did you know that Recorded Music NZ run a Music Grants programme that every quarter supports various music related educational and charitable projects up to $5,000.00? They also run the Direct-to-Artist scheme which allows NZ recording artists to collect royalties when their work is broadcast on radio or television, webcast on the internet or when it is performed in public. If you are not registered with Recorded Music NZ or want to know how to apply for the Music Grants programme, then you will discover everything you need to know at this session.
NZ On Air
NZ On Air provides funding for recording songs and making music videos for broadcast via its MakingTracks scheme; delivers the best new broadcast-ready songs by New Zealand artists to the broadcast and music media every calendar month via its NewTracks scheme; funds features on radio stations to help break new songs by New Zealand artists and to champion difference and diversity in New Zealand music; and has just launched its AllTracks portal to help audiences find great New Zealand music online via curated playlists on YouTube, Spotify and Soundcloud.
Creative NZ
Find out what Creative New Zealand (CNZ) does for the arts sector, with an outline of CNZ’s funding programmes and initiatives, the type of support that is available to contemporary popular music artists and some guidance on how to put your best foot forward when applying for Creative NZ funding
APRA AMCOS
APRA AMCOS’ objective is to ensure composers/songwriters and publishers are rewarded whenever, and wherever, their musical works are played, performed or reproduced and help New Zealand music consumers get access to the world’s musical repertoire.
NZ Music Commission – Outward Sound
The Outward Sound funding scheme provides assistance for international market developments for New Zealand musicians, managers, labels and associated businesses. It’s a highly competitive funding, with a lot of applications for very limited money. Get some advice and guidance on the application process.
