Music News - NZME launch new Christchurch radio station – Mix on 91.7 FM

08 June 2015 - 0 Comments

NZME announced today a new radio station Mix is coming to Christchurch on Monday, June 15th on localised frequency 91.7 FM.

The station will play a continuous blend of the very best music from the 80's and 90's with a mixture of tempo and genre.  On Mix 91.7 you’ll hear superstars like Madonna, Prince, Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, INXS, Robbie Williams, George Michael and Ricky Martin alongside gems from the 80’s and 90’s that you won’t have heard on the radio for a very long time.

Mix Content Director, Raylene Ramsay says the team is thrilled to launch Mix in Christchurch and offer people an exciting music alternative.

“We identified a market opportunity in Christchurch to create a station that meets the musical tastes of 30-54 year olds. Mix 91.7 will play Madonna's Like a Virgin to Coolio’s Gangsta’s Paradise. We’re finding all the best songs from the 80’s and 90’s and then pressing shuffle!”

Mix can be heard on 91.7 FM from Monday, June 15, as well as being streamed live on iHeart Radio.
