NZ On Air has dipped into the purse for the final time in the current financial year and found a bit of cash for the country's music and video-makers.
An all-time-record 113 applications were received for video funding, of which 20 could be selected:

- 'Sort It Out' by The Black Seeds (Capitol/EMI)
- 'Fiji Baby' by Goodshirt (Cement)
- 'You Don’t Know Me' by Autozamm (Flaming Pearl)
- 'Silver & Gold' by Herman (Heart)
- 'Scribble' by Lazrus (Lazrus)
- 'Beers' by Deja Voodoo (Liberation)
- 'Take It From Me' by Confucius feat. Sarah Brown (Loop)
- 'Sunshine' by Rhian Sheehan feat. Jess Chambers (Loop)
- 'Rock ‘n’ Roll Riot' by The Have (Shock)
- 'Close The Door' by Amber Claire (Sony Music)
- 'Except You' by Minuit (Tardus)
- 'Sick Of It' by The WBC (WBC)
- 'When I Return' by Shapeshifter feat. Ladi Six (Truetone)
- 'Claim To Fame' by Elemeno P (Universal)

In the Phase Four New Recording Artist application mailbag were 192 brand new demos, of which 12 could be chose:

- 'Baby It’s Over' by Naomi Cramer (Independent)
- 'Maybe' by Die! Die! Die! (Independent)
- 'Play My Music' by EPR (Independent)
- 'Innocent Love' by Flow On Show (Mai Music)
- 'Taking Over' by Goodnight Nurse (Independent)
- 'Truly Mine' by JCK & The Dirty Ho Bags (Antenna)
- 'Wonderful' by Mars (Independent)
- 'Say What You Want' by Sommerset (Kafuey)
- 'Do You Feel The Cold' by Tourist (Independent)
- 'Over You' by 4Eulogi (Legend Records)
Five songs which had not previously been given any NZ On Air funding were eligible for the Significant Airplay rebate:
