Music News - Devilskin Platinum Celebrations

Devilskin Platinum Celebrations

29 July 2015 - 0 Comments

Devilskin celebrated their Platinum success this week with surprise industry drinks and presentation hosted by James Southgate from Music Management.

The band were presented with impressive personalised Platinum disks to mark the occasion.

This is a significant achievement for Devilskin. We Rise is the first debut New Zealand Rock Album to go Platinum since 2010.

We Rise released on July 11, 2014 and went straight to the top of the charts remaining as the #1 Album and #1 Kiwi Artist Album for 3 weeks and achieved gold sales after only 2 weeks. We Rise remains firmly in the Kiwi Artist Album chart after 54 weeks and counting! The album was certified Platinum in March 2015 with sales exceeding 15,000 albums. This is an incredible feat in this new age of music.

Devilskin comment "We are all very proud of our accomplishments and to have the honour of a Platinum album is especially cool. We would like to acknowledge all those that made a contribution to the success of We Rise and most of all thank YOU our loyal supporters YOU RULE!!"

Devilskin will be back on the road for the Mountains and the Moon Tour this September and October.

Tickets on sale from Eventfinda http://www.eventfinder.co.nz/ for all events excluding The Powerstation which are available from Event Ticketing http://www.eventticketing.co.nz/.
