The Waiheke Island
show on Sunday 31st January 2015 is an ideal summer drop to celebrate Auckland
Anniversary weekend. Having sold out Auckland Town Hall on 24th October three
months in advance, the strictly limited 1500 tickets for Cable Bay Vineyard are
expected to be in hot demand.
Joe Lindsay aka Hopepa, Freddys trombonist said “We're super excited
about Freddys groove hitting Waiheke for the first time. The band has been
in studio lock down this winter working on a new album and we’re keen to get
back to playing live and shaking that shiverman loose. Let's see what you've
got Waiheke”.
Fat Freddy’s Drop is confident that by summer time audiences will know the
words to new songs from their highly anticipated fourth studio album which is
due for release this year.
Freddys end of year tour schedule is a mammoth 22 city-wide continental tour
across France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Norway,
Denmark and Netherlands through November and December before returning to New
Zealand sunshine. More summer shows are expected, stay tuned.
