Sony Music is proud to announce the release of the highly anticipated debut EP from Maala on August 28th.
That anticipation has been growing since the first Maala song appeared on SoundCloud earlier this year.
Touch has amassed over 180,000 plays online and grabbed the attention of New Zealand and international media.
Maala’s second release In The Air was recently premiered by Zane Lowe as his World’s First for Beats 1 on Apple Music.
Both Touch and In The Air appear on Maala’s self-titled EP along with another three more songs crafted at Golden Age studio in Morningside, Auckland, with producer Josh Fountain.
The identity of the 20 year-old artist behind Maala’s emotion drenched electro-pop has so far remained elusive, the only clues being an occasional enigmatic lunch-break post to social media.
But Maala is preparing to step into the spotlight with an EP release show, more details to emerge shortly.
