Soundsplash announced its long-awaited return to Raglan’s Wainui Reserve only two weeks ago.
Now the festival has been welcomed back in a big way, having already sold out all early-bird tickets with the first line-up announcement. The response has been massive from the local community who are glad to see the institution return to the shores of Ngarunui Beach.
A three-day, three-stage, multi-genre event, Soundsplash is the perfect chance to escape from the city and follow the surf, sun, and summer-time feelings all the way to the beach. With the stunning beach-side setting, Soundsplash has embraced the bohemian lifestyle of Raglan to the fullest with a myriad of buzzing crowds, stalls, films, and relaxing chill-zones to suit all tastes.
Originally running from 2001-2008, Soundsplash was voted ‘Festival Of Choice for 2005/06’ by Rip It Up Magazine and is credited with beginning the zero-waste movement for New Zealand festivals with its progressive eco-focus.
An all-ages festival in the truest sense, Soundsplash 2016 is catering to all punters with tiered ticketing prices and under 14’s welcome free of charge with a full paying parent. Soundsplash 2016 will be everything punters remember and more with the freedom to express, create, and participate.
Headlining the festival are Australian reggae-indie rockers, Sticky Fingers, who will be joined by The Black Seeds, TrinityRoots, Deadly Hunta (UK), State of Mind, Weird Together, Cornerstone Roots and more.
Another full announcement of performers is still to come later in October.
Advanced tickets are now on sale through to 28 September. All ticket purchases include overnight stays and parking at one of the three designated areas on Wainui Reserve.
