Known for their hard hitting brand of modern rock, Christchurch's Setting Fire To Stacey are the perfect storm of driving riffs and searing vocals.
The band consists of five members, Arend Hoek (vocals), Mark Hunter (guitar), Zak Rickard (guitar), Ross Greig (drums) and Hamish Collison (bass).
Their previous single No Way Out secured a spot on numerous radio station charts across the country, most notably achieving an impressive #65 on The Rock FM’s hottest 100 new songs of 2014.
2014 was the band’s busiest and most successful year to date, taking their explosive live show around the country on their successful first New Zealand tour. Throughout the year they were invited to support New Zealand rock greats such as Blacklistt, I Am Giant, Devilskin and Villainy. Supporting these highly anticipated and sold out shows has earned Setting Fire To Stacey a loyal fan base across the country.
Recently Setting Fire To Stacey recorded their fourth single, again flying renowned UK based producer and engineer Paul Matthews (I Am Giant, Tadpole, Blindspott, Six60) to their home town to produce and engineer their song to perfection. Master engineer Forrester Savell (I Am Giant, Dead Letter Circus, Karnivool) was signed on to give the song its final mix and none other than Sterling Sound were hired to deliver the polished master.
The
new single, titled Vital Signs is available on iTunes and all other major
digital outlets.
