Auckland-based
guitarist Arli releases his new album Fata
Morgana today and, to celebrate, gives a free live
performance in Auckland this weekend - ahead of upcoming Wanderlust Sunshine Coast performance
dates scheduled for later in the month.
Blending Arli’s Middle Eastern heritage and Western influences to create a
relaxing soundscape using guitar, live looping and multi effects pedals, Fata Morgana showcases
a fresh side to Arli’ sartistic spectrum. It's the perfect chill-out album or accompaniment to
meditation and the relaxing tones are "designed to take you wherever you
want to be taken to".
Performing as part of Lululemon Ponsonby’s Sweat Sunday sessions this weekend, Arli will join
yoga instructor Kyleigh
Burniston for a special one hour-long class that brings
together music and movement in a unique and captivating way.
Arli's distinctive style and incredible talent allows him to effortlessly improvise in
response to his audiences. The resulting musical journey will make Arli's live
performances a 'not to be missed' aural experience at the Sunshine Coast’s
upcoming Wanderlust
Festival.
With sets across yoga and meditation classes, free jam sessions and full solo
performances, Arli will continue celebrations for the release of his sophomore album at the
three-day festival on October 15-18.

live performance events.
