Waiheke Island resident blues/country outfit Aaron Carpenter & The Revelators are pleased to announce the release of their new single Stranger, a gentle electric country ballad from their forthcoming self-titled EP - due out November 13th.
Says front man Aaron Carpenter, "Stranger is
a song that came to me soon after a break up. I was sitting a
friend's house, and the only thing I owned in that house was
my guitar and my old 1959 Holden (Baby Blue), so being a stranger in
some one else's house was how it seemed at the time, and the similarities to me
and that old car didn't seem too far apart. Summed up best by a friend, he said
it's a song about not learning your lesson."
All songs from the EP were tracked, engineered, mixed &
mastered by Daryl Tapsell of Blackdoor Studios.
Recorded live, the songs retain the raw electric energy of a live performance.
The
Revelators will be showcasing their new songs at The Tuning
Fork on October 29th alongside Greg
Fleming and Donna Dean. Tickets available from Ticketmaster.
Stranger is now available for purchase from iTunes and all good digital outlets.
