It has been a huge seven days for Villainy. The band topped the rock airplay charts with their single Safe Passage, they were announced as support for AC/DC’s two New Zealand stadium shows alongside Shihad and the first of their intimate Dead Sight Sessions has sold out in days, prompting the release of a second show on 10 December.
The Dead Sight Sessions will see the band play their sophomore album Dead Sight from track 1 to track 11. Dead
Sight was released in September,
debuting at number 4 in the album charts and remaining in the NZ Top 5 for a
month.
Villainy’s Neill Fraser says it has been an amazing week for the band.
“Sharing a stage with AC/DC is huge for us - when you think
stadium rock you think AC/DC and nobody does it better. There really is no
greater honour than being invited to open for them.”
“We leave on our own Australian tour next week, so it’s great to head across the Tasman on such a high.”
