Eclectic singer-songwriter Elcee (Laura Charman) is delighted to announce the release of her debut EP Heart Over Mind on November 27th.
A storyteller at heart, Elcee’s lyrical depth is the jewel in her crown, grounding her wistful tone and distinctive vocals to create a sound that draws influence from across the genre landscape with elements of pop, jazz, electronica, and folk. Song writing has always come with a sense of peace for Elcee, using it as a means of discovery and putting words to wishes that would otherwise go unsaid.
Heart Over Mind is Elcee’s first release, and is a tantalising taste of genuine musicality that is set to grow with her. The EP was recorded in a variety of locations that hold dear to Elcee, mirroring the experience that she had while writing. The EP explores the idea that one’s heart is often at war with one’s head, a battle between the relentless longing of the heart and an anxious, often vulnerable mind.
Elcee is celebrating the release of Heart Over Mind with a release show at Galatos Basement on November 28, playing the EP in full with support from Jimmy Hazelwood.
Generating a true sense of yearning, Heart Over Mind will be available worldwide on November 27 from iTunes, Spotify, Bandcamp, and Soundcloud.
