Bailterspace: “the sound of three men supplying more power than the average nuclear power plant”
Since forming in Christchurch in 1987, Bailterspace have been without doubt one of New Zealand’s heaviest exports. Flying Nun is pleased to announce the release of ‘BAILTERSPACE’ on May 17, 2004 featuring eighteen collected tracks that go a long way to proving this.
After six albums of imaginary spaceworlds carved from harmonic volume, Bailterspace come across a lot more human, a lot more rocking, and no less brilliant or powerful than ever. They remain one of the most vital and original bands of our time.
The tracklisting was selected by the band and remastered in their long-time spiritual home of Manhattan and includes a previously unheard version of ‘At 5 We Drive’ and a rare track entitled ‘GlimmerDot’.
