As Fat Freddy's Drop lean into the last of their Kiwi summer tour shows in Nelson and Queenstown this weekend, they release the music video for uplifting new tune 10 Feet Tall from chart topping album, Bays.
The music video was shot in New Zealand over summer at the idyllic north of Auckland coastal spot, Pakiri, that is a favourite holiday haunt for Director Jess Bluck who invited locals to join in on translating the lyrical content.
"The band’s new song Ten Feet Tall speaks to me a lot about adversity, about staying strong and rising above it all. To reflect that, the video employs the metaphor of human flight, mysterious and magical as it is. The story we tell has the feel of a universal modern day fable that children and young people seem to understand even better than adults. I hope the video will serve to lift people up, just as Fat Freddy’s music does”, Bluck said.

Following this weekend's shows, the Freddy's have a very sort breather before heading across the ditch to play a run of nine dates across Australia, including two sold out nights at The Forum in Melbourne and The Tivoli in Brisbane. After a quick stop back in Auckland for their headline slot at Auckland City Limits, the band head back across to London for their sold out show at the O2 Academy Brixton (with a second show just announced) then 12 dates announced across Europe and look at that – it’s nearly the middle of the year! It's Lit!
