Director Simon Oliver along with cinematographer Simon Godsiff (Avatar, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, District 9) has brought a lounge to life in the new video for Ha the Unclear's Secret Lives of Furniture. Couches, coffee tables and chairs hide keys, steal cash from passed out party-goers, smoke pipes and pour each other cups of tea while their master is unawares.
Released on debut album Bacterium, Look at Your Motor Go, Secret Lives of Furniture is a narrative account from a coffee table bearing witness to its owner's life. Lyrics paint a picture of an infatuated coffee table, fashioning a tale so absurd you'll never see your furniture in the same light again. The single has featured on BBC Introducing (“absolutely bonkers”) and Entertainment Weekly (“fascinatingly odd”).
In November the band was hand-picked by Courtney Barnettto support on her New Zealand tour and are recently returned from a debut Australian tour.
