Bailey Roiall aka Bam Bam of Auckland band Helgorithms, broke his leg in two separate places while performing on stage at Ding Dong Lounge in Auckland on Friday night. The unfortunate incident was captured on camera by photographer Aaron Leece.
Ding Dong Lounge management has stated that "Bailey is famous for his on stage theatrics. He jumps on the bar, amps, runs up the walls and people love it. He was incredibly unlucky to break his leg like that last Friday but he's a guy with an awesome attitude and will bounce back bigger and better than ever." Bam Bam was expected to DJ at the lounge on Saturday night, but had to cancel due to his horrible injury. Following surgery to repair the injuries to his leg, Bam Bam was contacted and was in good spirits.
The Punk Shadow Cult Show with Antares, Markdown, Ginzu and The Steak Kniveas, Mudshark, Scared Of Girls and Killa//Chinchilla also performed at Ding Dong Lounge on Friday without incident.
Ding Dong Lounge is a Rock bar in the down town vicinity of Auckland, welcoming business patrons & rockers alike.
