Legendary Waikato based rock band Knightshade will be hanging up their gloves after their final Hamilton show on Saturday 6th August at the Altitude nightclub.
Due to health issues in the band there has been a question as to whether we could play at all. So, we take nothing for granted, that is why we are promoting this gig as the last one. The show is nicknamed Out for the Count, after our first big single back in 1986. It will be the Last Gig in the City, …at least until we know where our health is at. We want to make this gig a super special night for everyone… for the band and for the fans.
We will be performing all the classic Knightshade songs plus some new material. Gael Ludlow will be making a very special guest appearance on stage for two songs including Out for the Count, which she originally sung on back in 1986.
There will be a special photo and signing session with the band downstairs in the Gravity bar at the beginning of the night.
As this will be our last night in the city, turn off your television eyes, dust off your finest paint me black t-shirt and bring your physical self down to the Altitude for one hell of a blood and money action packed night. The band will be leaving you with nothing but great memories of a very special show.
Tickets are $30 via Eventfinda and, judging by the first week of sales, we are predicting a full house on the night. People are coming from all over the country. Old fans and crew that go way back in the history of the band, so it will be a very memorable night for everyone.
