While it might not cover the same acreage as Hamilton's recent farming expo, The MUSIC EXPO sound:vision 2004 will nonetheless be a field day for anybody interested in music.
New Zealand’s third MUSIC EXPO is scheduled to take place this year at the brand new Sky City Convention Centre in central Auckland from August 13 – 15.
Spanning three days, and two exhibition floors, The MUSIC EXPO sound:vision 2004 is a public and trade event encompassing all things audio, visual and music related.
First staged in 2000 and held bi-annually since, The MUSIC EXPO showcases the latest technology, products and services, across a broad range of audio and visual interest.
On display will be high quality hi-fi and home theatre systems including the latest screen technologies, musical instruments - both classical and modern - software, DJ products, professional, recording and broadcast equipment.
Organisers Southern Exposure Ltd say that the importance of visual imagery in the listening experience has grown hugely since the first MUSIC EXPO in 2000 and the inclusion of “vision” to the title is very necessary to reflect the true nature of the exhibits.
“There will be a wide range of home theatre systems on display from the good but very affordable, to some exceptionally high end systems and rarely seen brands,” says Expo Manager Richard Thorne. “Quite apart from most of our own leading brand importers, there has been strong interest from Australian hi-fi companies in exhibiting at The MUSIC EXPO this year.”
The newly opened Sky City Convention Centre provides two huge floors of display space, allowing organisers to group the hi-fi related distributors on one floor with the mainstream musical products presented on another.
15,000 audio professionals, music lovers and music makers are expected to visit the Sky City Convention Centre over the three days in August. The MUSIC EXPO sound:vision 2004 will be a grand showcase of all things audio-related not to be missed by anyone with an interest in sound and vision!
