Fly My Pretties are proud to announce that for the first time in over three years, the band will return to Dunedin to headline the Dunedin Craft Beer & Food Festival in November. The performance will showcase FMP’s new album String Theory, which will be released in the lead up to the Festival.
String Theory will be recorded during a run of sold-out shows in August in Auckland and Wellington, and will be the first new album from Fly My Pretties since The Homeland Recordings. Their appearance at the Dunedin Craft Beer & Food Festivalwill not only celebrate this new album’s release, but will also showcase tracks from it, along with a collection of FMP favourites.
“We are extremely excited that the Festival is able to align with New Zealand’s most innovative and original superband, Fly My Pretties; their quality and talent are second to none,” says Festival Event Manager Dan Hendra. “We believe it’s the perfect match to our festival, imagine relaxing and enjoying craft beer and food on a manicured pitch under a giant roof, listening to the greatest band in the country. What could be more picturesque?”
The Dunedin Craft Beer & Food Festival takes place Saturday November 12, one day after the release of String Theory – an album exploring the fabric of our existence through music. The performance will feature the String Theory cast including Barnaby Weir, members of The Black Seeds and The Nudge, Ria Hall, Laughton Kora, Miloux and more.
