After nurturing a dedicated
and loyal following in his adopted home of Australia, New Zealand-born Tom Lee-Richards is
bringing his unique blend of alt-folk/pop home for his first-ever Kiwi tour
this October.
The Melbourne-based singer’s ‘Madness’ tour, coincides with the release of his latest single of the same name and a
stunning music video.
Produced by Matthew Neighbour (Courtney Barnett), Madness is a raw and strikingly honest track about the tension of ownership and blame
when negotiating relationships. It breathes with the rise and fall of Lee-Richard’s hypnotic
hook and features the playful vocal weaving of Kiwi singer, Monique Shelford, who
hails from Napier.
The song’s volatile journey is perfectly matched with the hard-hitting music
video, starring Laura
Wheelwright (Animal Kingdom).

Madness follows the success of Lee-Richard’s’
last single, As Far As India - a breezy, nostalgic tune with sweet pop influences, in which the singer drew
on the experiences of his childhood, growing up in New Zealand.
You can experience Madness live this October, when Lee-Richards tours both the North and South Islands for the first time.
