Collins Class has just successfully released their debut album Bird at The Underdog in Brisbane playing to a packed house. They also took this opportunity to release their music video for the first single Waiting.
Collins Class is at the forefront of the Queensland music scene with their sweaty explosive modern alt-rock style. Lead singer and drummer Jeff, guitarist Chad and bass player Gaz have built their signature sound around tight grooves, addictive melodies, and the swagger of youth.
Drawing from a combined 40+ years of gigging, writing and recording there’s no surprise Collins Class are starting to make a name for themselves as a tight band with a great repertoire of songs. Crowd favourites Dropping Pumpkins and Death of Me constantly have the crowd on their feet chanting every word. The band oozes confidence but not arrogance, and they deliver a sound not to be forgotten.
Having released 2 successful EPs’ and with their first full-length album in the can, Collins Class have a solid catalogue of original material with new songs constantly being delivered. On the back of this work ethic the unsigned band went on to become the Australasian finalists in the global battle of the bands for two years running.
Collins Class heat up the stage with performances that leave the boys shirtless and the audience breathless. In the past 2 years the band have done some major supports and festivals including ‘The Adelaide Fringe Festival’ (headlined by Motley Crew and Kiss), the Daft Punk album release party in Wee Waa (which saw over 2,000 people witness the bands explosive live show), and most recently supporting ‘The Beards’ and ‘The Getaway Plan’ on their respective tours.
Collins Class is all about breaking new ground, rocking out, and at the end of a big night being the last band standing.
