BIO:
Auckland New Zealand 4 piece hardcore punk band Master Blaster formed in August 2015 and within a month, sticking to their Do or Die ethos, had recorded and released their demo titled You Suck, supported SNFU on their Auckland show and toured Australia (including part of Poison City Records Weekender Fest). Since their inception the band have played nonstop around New Zealand, hitting the road with Melbourne metal punks High Tension, Minneapolis thrashers In Defence, UK punk legends GBH and Byron Bay hardcore crew Shackles.
In May 2016 Master Blaster released a digital single titledOpinion Piece, a song about the bands dislike for right wing ideologues “smug jerks riding the rise of the right with mouths so big you just want to ram a pineapple down their throat”, this track earned it’s place on the playlist of Auckland City's’ largest Alternative radio station 95bFM.
In June 2016 alongside Melbourne, Australia Fastcore Kings Hailgun. Master Blaster toured Europe and the UK on the back of their brand new 7" titled Doomsdays, and their split 7" with Hailgun. They played alongside bands such as Death Alley, Discharge, English Dogs and Lecherous Gaze.
The band are part of Auckland City’s The Others Way festival 2016 - a unique, locally-run day of New Zealand’s best alternative music, performing across multiple venues, The Others Way takes inspiration from international music festivals CMJ and SXSW.
Master Blaster play fast, angry, direct music, their lyrics are honest and the pace relentless.
