An
Auckland based artist by way of Dorset, England, Harry Parsons creates
beautifully crafted, soul infused folk with alternative pop
influences, reminiscent of the likes of Faint Peter, Ben Howard
and Passenger to name a few.
Today he unveils the new video for his latest single Exoskeleton, an
evocatively engaging track showcasing a more atmospheric,
electronic musical direction.
Says Parsons, "Exoskeleton is about love and obsession, the thin line
that separates them both and how one can lead to happiness but the other can
lead to despair."
Directed by Matthew
Dawson the accompanying video has a mythical
maritime theme and is a metaphor for obsessive love. Parsons stars as a
shipwrecked sailor who, ignoring his moral ‘compass,’ follows a seductive siren
to his ultimate demise.
Harry released his debut EP Lost in
late 2015 featuring the stand out single So
Far.
In 2013 Harry won the solo/duo category of the Smokefree Rockquest national final
which resulted in a grant helping him release the popular single and
video You'll
be Fine and gaining him
a larger following.
He is currently working on his forthcoming album, due out early 2017.
Exoskeleton is
available for purchase from iTunes, Bandcamp and all good digital outlets.
