His Master's Voice bring their unique
brand of heavy blues to Whammy bar this October. Their style summed up
perfectly as their self proclaimed “The Devils Blues”. Listen to their 2014
album Possession and you will hear influences from the greats of classic
HEAVY rock but with a contemporary energy and relevance.
Musically and visually the band possess an inventive and original signature style that showcases the strength of their collective song writing, whilst allowing their individual talents to shine. His Masters Voice offer one of the most impressive live performances around, it is clear that to them, their audience comes first! Its not hard to see why this band has amassed one of the most loyal and dedicated fan basses in the country!
Joining His Masters Voice is Auckland band Hunt the Witch, since their conception in 2013 Hunt the Witch have crafted a sonic blend of heavy rock evidence of which can be found on their debut EP Into the Black. A must see for any fans of sludgy, groove ridden rock, Hunt the witch complement HMV's dark and dirty blues like coke does bourbon!
Rounding out the line up are Auckland new comers Dead Favours. Though the name may be new, the members are far from, boasting and impressive line-up of musicians from bands such as Steriogram, Fire at Will, Bloodnut, Eqwanox, Kara Gordon's Wreckage and more, Dead Favours are quickly becoming regulars on the Auckland rock scene. With their hard hitting riff driven rock and roll its only matter of time before you hear Dead Favours listed amongst NZ's most exciting bands.
