Devilskin and Halestorm Rock NZ Audiences this Summer

27 September 2016 - 0 Comments

Devilskin will tour their explosive live set throughout New Zealand this summer from December 8 - January 21. The tour, presented by The Rock will support Devilskin’s third album, and second studio release, Be Like The River.

Devilskin will be joined by Grammy Award Winning Hard Rock band Halestorm to deliver an incredible double headline at seven of the tour dates.

Halestorm is an American rock band from Red Lion, Pennsylvania. The band features lead vocalist and guitarist Lzzy Hale, her brother drummer and percussionist Arejay Hale, guitarist Joe Hottinger and bassist Josh Smith. Freak Like Me and Love Bites (So Do I) both reached #1 on Active Rock charts, making Halestorm the first ever female-fronted band to top the format’s airplay ranking. The band won a Grammy for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance for Love Bites (So Do I). The accomplishments didn’t stop there, Hale was honored by Gibson Guitars, which celebrated her accomplishments by creating a Lzzy Hale signature Explorer guitar. Halestorm are well known for their near non-stop touring, often performing as many as 250 shows a year.

Lzzy Hale shares "we are so excited to be coming back to New Zealand! There is such a passion for hard rock there and we are very humbled to be invited back with our new friends in Devilskin! You can expect glorious debauchery and lots of loud music! See you all soon!"

Devilskin say "sharing the stage with US rock giants Halestorm is going to be a real blast! Halestorm are one of the hardest working bands around and their live show is legendary. It will definately be the hottest tour this summer! Jennie Skulander and Lzzy Hale on the same bill, hell, the audience are in for a real treat."

Rising stars in the New Zealand rock scene City Of Souls will be supporting Devilskin on all dates of the tour. Their new single Long Gone is currently on radio.

Devilskin will play new material from Be Like The River for the first time including smash singles Mountains and Pray, as well as the hit singles from We Rise.

Devilskin have established themselves as a household name in their native New Zealand.

Formed in Hamilton in 2010 this four piece rock band are bonded by blood. Paul (bass) and Nic (drums) are father and son, Jennie (vocals) is Nic’s Aunt and Paul’s sister in law, Nail (guitar) is Paul’s evil twin. Their debut album We Rise released on July 11, 2014 and went straight to the top of the charts remaining as the Number 1 Album and Number 1 Kiwi Artist Album for 3 weeks and achieving Gold Sales after only 2 weeks. The album was certified Platinum in February 2015 with sales exceeding 15,000 albums.
