Auckland, 24 Nov 2016, The Wine Cellar, 183 Karangahape Road.
Doors open 8pm. Tickets $20 from http://www.undertheradar.co.nz/ ($25 at door).
After leaving her full-time career as a scientist, Yasamin returns with her only show for 2016 to celebrate the release of her music video for second single Home.
Yasamin first introduced her music in 2013 with her EP Chasing Melodies and had her music feature on C4, TVNZ’s Good Morning, 95bFM and http://www.theaudience.co.nz/ Top 10 Chart Show. Yasamin has drawn comparisons to female musicians such as Corinne Bailey Rae and Ingrid Michaelson and sights her love for lyrics as what drew her to music initially.
The bulk of 2016 was spent writing and recording the debut full-length album, due for early 2017 release, and planning and filming three music videos to support the album’s singles.
The show will bring together music and poetry (Mohamed Hassan from Waxed Poetic Revival) to celebrate the release of Home, which was filmed in a single continuous shot and features a cast of 8 including children and animals!
Yasamin will be joined by a 4 piece band and will also perform acoustically on guitar and ukulele.
