Gavin Correia and Marty Rich, known as Jupiter Project, have today announced their signing to Warner Music NZ. Following the success of their recent singles, the electronic R&B duo are ready to make waves with their label Jupiter Republic and the release of their new single My Girl – a take on the beloved classic by The Temptations.
"The world is a crazy place right now,” says Jupiter Project. “More than ever, we are being pulled in directions that divide us. But music is one of the few constants that we all have in our lives – something that actually unities, instead of dividing. This release is a song that we've always loved. A song that takes us to happy memories. We hope it brings you some happiness too – because happiness is what we deserve".
Following on from their last single Sweet Disguise, which peaked at #1 on the NZ Music Charts, My Girl is their latest collaboration with European producer Daniel Richard. The track features their distinctly smooth vocals over a dance inducing production that is guaranteed to get dance floors moving around the globe.
Known as some of New Zealand’s most prolific song-writers, Jupiter Project achieved international success with their single With You (featuring Jetski Safari & Helen Corry) which sold Gold in New Zealand, while also charting in France and Belgium. After releasing with Universal Music France the pair embarked on a successful European tour that included performing at Electroshock festival 2015 alongside Moby and Rudimental. The catchy tune has since been streamed over 8 million times worldwide.
The duo have also been regulars on the festival circuit, playing on the main stages at Rhythm and Vines and Our House, as well as sharing the stage with the likes of Flume, Will.i.am and Jason Derulo.
