Music News - Dead C Playing US Leg of All Tomorrow's Parties

01 March 2002 - 0 Comments

Legendary NZ noise kings The Dead C have been confirmed as the second NZ act to be on the bill of the highly regarded All Tomorrow's Parties festival. ATP takes place in Los Angeles in the middle of March, and in East Sussex in the UK: the US showcase is being curated by Sonic Youth, while Steve Albini's Shellac has the reins on who's playing the bill the other side of the Atlantic.

The Dead C will be playing the US leg of the festival, alongside such luminaries as Aphex Twin, Sonic Youth, Stereolab, Television, Stephen Malkmus, Wilco, and the increasingly cred-worthy Eddie Vedder. The kiwi band will follow up their appearances there with some 'full-length' (2 hour) shows at a couple of venues in San Francisco (check the gig guide for dates and places).

Fellow kiwi noise-makers HDU are appearing at the UK half of the event, and will likewise be making other appearances around that country afterwards. Keep your eyes out (and earplugs handy).
