Pacific Heights, aka Devin Abrams, fresh off his Vodafone New Zealand Music Award win for Best Electronic Album for The Stillness, releases a brand new single; Oceans Collide.
Oceans Collide came as by-product of chemistry formed by working with Deanne Kriegduring The Stillness sessions. “As we started rehearsing the material for the live show, I played the instrumental idea to Deanne before a rehearsal and almost on the spot she presented the beautiful melodies that we now hear,” says Devin. “I felt we again captured something beautiful. The song for me represents natural themes with a strong undercurrent and more urgent energy than songs from The Stillness.”
Pacific Heights is the solo project of Wellington-based songwriter and producer Devin Abrams. Best known for the fifteen years he spent as one of the founding members of New Zealand group Shapeshifter, Devin's focus returned to his solo work, heralding the arrival of the Pacific Heights album titled The Stillness.
