New Zealand
natives currently based in Nashville, Tattletale Saints take a unique
approach to Americana music, rolling jazz influences, coed harmonies, upright
bass, and electric guitar into a sound that's as wide-ranging as the band's own
travel schedule.
With their self-titled sophomore album released in early September, Cy Winstanley and Vanessa McGowan push that sound into new directions, adding full-band arrangements and
Winstanley's signature sharp, observational storytelling to the mix.
The duo return to New Zealand this January for a comprehensive nation-wide
tour from Whangarei to Barrytown with a finale show at The Tuning
Fork in Auckland on February 11th.
The New Zealand tour will include drummer Joe McCallum (Tami Neilson, Delaney
Davidson, Marlon Williams, Nadia Reid) and opening artist, knuckles; the solo
project of Matthew Mitchinson, who has returned to New Zealand after nearly a
decade spent making music in London as a core member of the
critically-acclaimed band Klak
Tik.
Don't miss the opportunity to see this masterful trio perform their collection of memorable, beguiling songs in the flesh.
