Music News - Theia Announces Debut EP and NZ Tour

Christchurch-born singer Theia today announces the release of her debut EP, simply titled Theia, out June 30 via Warner Music NZ. The EP includes her current single Treat You along with her previously released tracks Roam, Champagne Supernova, and Silver Second.
All tracks on the EP, apart from Silver Second - which was produced in Sydney by Alex Hope (Broods, Troye Sivan) - were masterfully shaped and crafted in Auckland’s Golden Age Studios with producer, Josh Fountain (Leisure,MAALA). The six songs showcase Theia’s knack for the seamless blending of genres and taking listeners on a personal journey.

Directed and designed by Mardo El-Noor (Fish ’n’ Clips), the just debuted video for Treat You sees Theia wearing outfits made by award-winning local fashion design graduate Tess Norquay. The pieces were part of a collection which featured in Italian Vogue.
Theia today also announces her first headline tour of New Zealand. Theia and her band will play Neck of the Woods in Auckland on Thursday, July 6; Meow in Wellington on Friday, July 7 and Blue Smoke in Christchurch on July 8. The announcement comes on the heels of Theia returning from her first tour of Australia with The Kite String Tangle and showcase in Los Angeles at the prestigious international music and media conference, MUSEXPO.
Pre-sales for Theia’s tour are available from www.ticketmaster.co.nzon Monday, May 22 from 3pm. Tickets on sale Wednesday, May 24.
Theia burst onto the music scene in 2016 with her break-out smash hit Roam – which has surpassed 7 million streams on Spotify. She followed it up with Champagne Supernova, collaborating with members of the Royal New Zealand Balleton the music video.
