On
the shoulder of the success of their recent album release
Shadow Of Love,
Auckland country rockers, Paul
Gurney with
The DeSotos are pleased to release their
beautiful, third single
Decide.
Decide is a wistful, melancholic track exploring the timelessness of why two people
meet and fall in love.
A love song, framed as a dark, rhetorical question, the music reflects the mood
with its intimate, beautiful soundscape, evolving like a Pink Floyd track
with vocal harmonies recalling the Philly soul of the 70's.
Gurney and band are embarking on an acoustic tour of New Zealand in September,
covering the lower North and Upper South Island, performing songs from their
latest album plus old favourites.
Decide is now available for purchase from
iTunes and listenable on
Spotify.
The DeSotos perform at the Grey Lynn RSC on Friday August 25th from 8 PM. No
cover charge.

“Wide-screen country
rock which owes much to the Petty/Springsteen/Neil Youn Axis”
NZ Herald
"If music is the
'creative organisation of sound', then this captivating arrangement of songs
has been organised beautifully."
Muzic.net.nz
“This music sounds
natural and lived in, and Gurney who at times resembles a more countrified take
on Don McGlashan – deserves some time in the spotlight”
