Shihad have announced their new name today, as being Pacifier.
This comes after a reference to a 'new' band playing in LA's Viper Room earlier this week was spotted on the Internet yesterday. The Viper Room gig on Tuesday night was listed as being by 'Pacifier' - the name of a track on the bands latest album - while the Shihad website confirms that they did indeed play Johnny Deep's famed club that night.
Meanwhile, the band is nearing completion of their new album, moving to the mixing stage in the Hollywood studio owned by American R&B star Babyface. The studio used to belong to Death Row Records, says Pacifier bassist Karl Kippenberger.
