After being embraced and shown the love by the Auckland audience on her tour here earlier this year the amazingly talented Courtney Marie Andrews is coming back. At just 16 years old, Andrews left home in Arizona for her first tour. Travelling up and down the West Coast of the USA, busking and playing anywhere that would have her. Soon after, she took a Greyhound bus four nights straight from Phoenix to New York to do the same on the East Coast. Her 2016 album ‘Honest Life’, the follow up to the stellar ‘On My Page’, has been praised by media universally with the UK’s Daily Telegraph saying “the poetic economy of her lyrics is right up there with such masters of the country vignette as Guy Clark and John Prine…a truly substantial talent” . That’s some big association's right there.
This November the future of Americana will be shown to be in the excellent hands of Sam Outlaw and Courtney Marie Andrews. Do not miss it.
