Marlon Williams’ stunning new album Make Way For Love was released just last week and has already been receiving critical acclaim from around the globe! This 11 track masterpiece is fast becoming a fan and media favourite. Singles Nobody Gets What They Want Anymore, What’s Chasing You and latest Come To Me gave us an indication of what was to come, and now Make Way For Love sits atop of the New Zealand Top 40, cementing Marlon’s place as one of New Zealand’s most loved artists.

Five stars from the NZ Herald whose reviewer said “I can’t remember the last time I put any new record on repeat in the way I have been doing with Marlon Williams’ new record” and “A combination of country croon and vibrato swoon, it is the product of the cathedral, the marae and the bar’ said The Spinoff.

“Marlon Williams has delivered an instant classic of New Zealand songwriting and his finest work yet” from 13th Floor and “9 out of 10. An instant classic. It’s timeless. It could have been recorded anytime in the past 60 years” on Newstalk ZB.

One of New Zealand’s most respected music journalists Graham Reid writes “This is quite a journey of the hurt heart and soul but through the sheer gentle beauty of William’s voice and these diverse and subtly realised music settings it neither feels bleakly cathartic nor depressing”, understanding that what Marlon Williams has put on a plate for us all has just taken it to a whole new level of substance.

Currently overseas on a massive three month tour, Marlon Williams returns home to New Zealand this May to play shows in Auckland, Wellington Christchurch and Dunedin in some of the country’s most iconic venues.

Wellington’s concert on Saturday 19th May has just sold out so a second show has been added to meet demand. Tickets for the new show on Sunday 20th May at The Hunter Lounge are on sale now from Ticketmaster.
