The organisers of Auckland City Limits festival regret to
announce that Atlanta rapper Young Thug will no longer be making the journey
downunder due to being unable to secure an Australian visa.
Young Thug was granted a New Zealand visitor visa on 12 February 2018, so he is
entitled to enter New Zealand and to perform. Since his Australian tour dates
were cancelled we have tried to get him to honour his commitment to play in New
Zealand, but to no avail. Young Thug has made the decision not to come to New
Zealand.
Stepping into the breach however we are delighted to announce that local
legends Scribe and P-Money will deliver a set packed with the biggest bangers –
including Not Many, Stand Up and Stop the Music - in New Zealand hip-hop
history.
Scribe has owned stages at Australasia’s largest festivals over the past 15
years, his songs are true national anthems and they still speak with the
authentic voice that makes hip-hop the most vital contemporary musical form.
With his main man P Money back at his side, these local heroes are sure to
bring it to the Auckland City Limits stage this Saturday
Updated set times are available HERE.
