28 February 2018 - 0 Comments

R’n’B heartthrob August Alsinawill play his first-ever New Zealand show this April.

Presented by Pato Entertainment and Talk Later, the Def Jam Recordings prodigy will perform at the Logan Campbell Centre in Auckland on Friday, April 13.

He will be supported by Donell Lewis, Kennyon Brown and DJ Noiz.

Born and bred in New Orleans, August Alsina is following in the footsteps of the city’s legends who paved the way. After a set of personal setbacks and a series of YouTube covers that generated millions of views, he signed with Def Jam Recordings in 2007 and released 2014’s Testimony, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200.

The album featured hit singles I Luv This Shit, feat. Trinidad Jamesand No Love, feat. Nicki Minaj. The same year, Alsina was named ‘Best New Artist’ at the BET Awards.

Alsina’s next album, 2015’s This Thing Called Life also debuted in the Top 20 and featured the hit Hip Hop.

With a lifetime of experiences behind him, and living proof that your past does not dictate your future, Alsinais without doubt one of the most exciting acts in R’n’B right now.

Don’t miss your chance to see him live in New Zealand for the first time.
