Nothing to Regret, the bonafide pop hit from 17-year-old Kiwi artist Robinson(Anna Robinson), has been added to Spotify’s most followed global playlist, Today’s Top Hits, after generating sizeable support across key playlists in Australia and New Zealand.
Today’s Top Hits has a global following of close to 20 million people who have made this playlist their go-to destination to discover the fifty hottest tracks of the week. Robinson joins music heavyweights Shawn Mendes, Khalid, David Guetta, Sia, Post Malone, Taylor Swift, Drake, and many more, in this week’s list.
Support in Today’s Top Hits has been credited with helping grow international profiles of local artists like Glades and Starley.
What was Robinson’s journey to Today’s Top Hits? Featured as the cover artist on New Music Friday AU&NZ on the track’s day of release (Feb 22 2018), 15 regions around the world followed suit and added the track to their local New Music Friday playlists.
Local Spotify support was key in driving further momentum; Nothing To Regret was quickly added to AUNZ-focused playlists Get Popped!, Indie Mixtape, New Pop Sounds, Women of AU/NZ, and Pop Edge before being added to Hot Hits Australia, the region’s most followed playlist.
With listener engagement noticeably soaring, it was then picked up on global playlists like Pop Rising,Good Vibes, It's A Hit! and Daily Lift, with interest spiking significantly in the US, UK, Philippines and Germany.
