Tamara Lindeman, aka The Weather Station, is one of Canada’s biggest rising stars. Her most recent self produced, self-titled album (out now on Spunk Records) is a work of profound joy and emotional boldness. It has received unanimous critical acclaim from Pitchfork, MOJO, NPR, The New Yorker and many more and was nominated for a Juno Award. With this new album, Lindeman reinvents her songcraft with a vital new energy, framing her prose-poem narratives in bolder musical settings.
On the heels of SXSW, where The Weather Station was named one of “17 Acts That Stood Out” by the New York Times and one “30 Best Artists We Saw” by Rolling Stone, The Weather Station kick off a headline tour and share the new video for Impossible. The Impossible video was shot and edited by The Weather Station (aka Tamara Lindeman) and Colin Medley. As Lindeman describes it, “This was one of these late night, half asleep ideas. A sort of child-like play on free will. On the idea of habit, or how much one is controlled by unconscious ideas. On the idea of moving against - or moving with - these forces.”
