There’s no doubt we’re in for a treat on Friday the 20th April, as our favourite R&B newcomer Tommy Nee will be serving up the funk with the release of his brand new Single Body.
Recorded at Auckland’s legendary Roundhead Studios, Body’s playfully tongue in cheek nature proves once again why we should be watching Tommy’s every musical move. Featuring the smooth tones of Ivan Fuimaono and Junior Soqeta and with a hook that’s bound to get you moving, Body is destined for the airwaves.
Not only performing but having written and produced the track himself, Tommy Neehas set the bar high and demonstrated an incredible all-round talent. Bodygoes to show how multifaceted this young artist truly is and that he’s not one to be underestimated.
After bursting onto our radar in 2016 with his debut EP Colorblind, Tommy Nee is already making big waves. As a two-time nominee in the prestigious Pacific Music Awards he claimed the coveted title of “Most Promising Artist” in 2016 and solidly secured his spot as a finalist in the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards for “Best Soul/RnB Artist”.
Having hit the live circuit this Summer, pulled in collabs with industry greats such as Che Fu and with the release of his debut album Motherland on the cards for this June, you better pay attention. Tommy Nee is on the way up...and fast.
